Your computer won't start at all.
Recently my laptop failed to start up properly. It repeatedly entered a loop, cycling through "Automatic Repair," then "Diagnosing your PC," followed by "Repairing drive errors," which could last up to an hour before restarting and repeating the same issues. Note: I’m avoiding full OS reinstallation, even though Windows 11 sounds appealing. I disabled automatic recovery via command prompt (`/bcdedit /set {default} recoveryenabled no`) in Recovery Options. After rebooting, I encountered a stop code `0xc00007b`. After some research, I downloaded the Microsoft Defender Offline Scan from the provided link and installed it on a USB drive. When I tried to boot from it, I saw a small window displaying: File: \\EFI\Microsoft\Boot\BCD Status: 0x000000d with details about a boot configuration error. It seems my MBR might be corrupted or needs adjustment. Should I also capture a boot log? (I can turn it on but don’t know where to save the logs.) Also, I found the PC model and OS information listed.
It appears the boot drive is damaged. You can obtain Windows 10 installation media and perform a fresh install.
