So after watching this, my frame rate has slightly improved—around 50 to 70 frames now. I believe my GPU is still handling it well. I’m wondering if my computer just lacks the capability to stream GTA anymore after checking the stats and reviewing the numbers I shared during the session.
The 40% load might reflect a GTA setup with minimal core count and nearly full utilization. In Task Manager, right-click the CPU graph and select logical processors to see thread activity. If roughly 40% are close to maximum while others idle, GTA likely uses only about six threads and pushes them hard. A video showing a 11700KF 3070 combo running at 110-120fps with high graphics matches your non-streaming stats. A 50-70% usage range is a big jump from 20-40—check if many background programs are running. Close unnecessary apps to keep RAM free and CPU load low, which can help boost performance. Consider a slight CPU overclock if needed, but test it carefully. Use HWinfo to identify exact performance limits and adjust accordingly. Adjust arrows at the bottom to view sensor data more clearly.
Use NVENC encoder in OBS. GTA V isn't optimized for multicore CPUs. Choosing the wrong encoder while streaming can severely impact FPS.
Your PC is fine with that, but it really depends on the details: your stream configurations. You can usually handle any system with incorrect settings—just make sure it runs smoothly at its designed speed. This issue is common and can cause problems on most machines, so don’t be surprised if your PC behaves strangely. I generally avoid helping with this unless it’s temporary, and for permanent removal, a tool like Revo Uninstaller is recommended.
That sounds like a plan! Trying something different might make a difference.
I'm checking out the NVENC encoder. I haven't really heard of it before! It seems to be a newer option for streaming, so let me find out how it performs tonight.
