The PC becomes unresponsive when idle, even without any applications running, and occasionally freezes after being powered on for a short period. The issue isn't constant but occurs intermittently.

You might want to save your files, download all your drivers from MFGs, restore them as well. Perform Sysprep, restart, reinstall the drivers, and then transfer your files back.

Open Device Manager and look for any warnings or unrecognized devices. Consider downloading drivers directly from your motherboard or GPU's official site instead of generic Microsoft drivers. A simpler option is to restart your PC, back up your drivers from the official site, and your files (including a copy of your "users" folder, game saves, and program preferences in "C:\Users\$your username$\AppData") before proceeding. The drawback is you'll need to reinstall all your programs afterward.
