Your computer isn't supporting the installation of two RAM sticks.
Details: Nvidia RTX 2060 6gb, Intel i5 9400f, ASUS PRIME H310M-K R2.0 (motherboard), Corsair CV550 PSU, Patriot Viper 4 DDR4 (2x8GB) 3000MHz CL16. Operating system: Windows 11 Home x64. A few months ago my older GPU failed and I upgraded to the 2060 due to budget limits. After installation, I couldn't boot but managed to get it running with just one RAM stick. Advice from forums suggested further troubleshooting, but nothing resolved it. I left it as is for a while because I lacked time. Recently I notice the performance drop is significant enough to consider upgrading. Each RAM stick works independently when placed farthest from the CPU, suggesting a motherboard socket issue rather than faulty RAM. I’m also concerned about the PSU; 550W is a bit low for this setup. I’m thinking about updating the BIOS but am hesitant because I’m unfamiliar with the process and worried about power interruptions. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
