IMG_0482.MOV (various attempts made) (tested every RAM slot with one stick, reset CMOS, re-seated CPU and adjusted CPU bracket) (in the video you’ll see it usually stays on the DRAM light and switches to CPU, then turns off completely and repeats the cycle) I receive no signal on the monitor during this process. Occasionally it boots into BIOS, switching between CPU, DRAM, VGA, and finally the boot light appears. It powers off and turns back on. If I enable XMP in BIOS, it doesn’t save properly when I reboot. I’m using a 7700K A-RP X570 with 8GB of 3000MHz Corsair Vengeance RAM. I’ve also tried it with 32GB of 3200MHz RAM in my personal PC and an AORUS GA-Z270X-Gaming K7. I’m hoping to build this for my nephew’s birthday.

the pc shown in the video could fit a 1080ti, a 7700k, a 700w power supply, and a z270 board. i’ve had similar issues with the psu in my current setup too. my main configuration uses an i5 12600kf with a 3070 and a 700w psu, plus 970 evo 8x4 sticks at 3200mhz and an msi motherboard.
The RAM in your system was originally on the motherboard, and now it's also on the same board. It might be attempting to retrieve cached data from another RAM, but since you're not using it, it can't access it.
Ram is temporary storage. When power is lost or restarted, it disappears. Maybe you meant a hard drive? You can leave out all else except the CPU. A standard board will halt at the matching LED and a particular diagnostic code showing missing parts. Also, you might connect a small diagnostic speaker near the fp header to hear beeps confirming correct function while hardware is removed.
