Your computer isn’t starting.
Hello, I faced a problem starting my PC recently. When I press the power button, the lights turn on but there’s no display, and neither does the keyboard nor the mouse. The next day it worked fine. Anyone know what might be causing this and how to fix it? My system specs are: GTX 980, i7 4970.
Connect an HDMI cable to the motherboard instead of the GPU, if it works, it’s likely a GPU problem. If not, consider removing the CMOS battery to reset the BIOS settings.
Find the HDMI port on your motherboard and connect the cable there. To clear the CMOS battery, remove the battery for a few minutes or use a tool to discharge it.
You can find the information on YouTube, and since your CPU includes a built-in graphics card, check your motherboard for a DVI or HDMI port. Connect the cable to your monitor and test it.
I completed everything you requested, but the issue remains unresolved. It’s unclear if this matters, though I have a liquid cooled system.
