I was working on my PC one day when it suddenly stopped working without warning. The system just powered off completely—no screen display, no error messages. When I tried to restart, the power supply unit didn’t work, but the motherboard lights stayed on. After turning it off and plugging it back in, the computer booted up briefly for a couple of seconds before shutting down again. I checked everything: reseated RAM, swapped the 24-pin and 8-pin connectors, used a different socket, and even reinserted the CPU. Still nothing. It seemed the CPU only started when it was fully locked in place. I’m really frustrated. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. If you have a video of what’s happening, please share it. Thanks.
Some motherboards may start up when a new CPU is placed while powered on, which isn't unusual. Begin by resetting the CMOS and attempting to boot again. Disconnect all devices from USB ports—keyboard, mouse, etc.—and check for a proper startup.

Indications point to a possible failed power supply unit, and the one you currently have seems questionable in quality. Upgrading to a more reliable PSU would be wise.
