I noticed your PC isn’t keeping up with others despite similar specs. Your friend’s setup seems to handle the workload better, possibly due to a more powerful GPU or better cooling. Consider checking if your cooler and CPU are up to date, and maybe upgrade the GPU if possible. Also, ensure your power supply can handle the 650W load. If you’re still struggling, a more efficient cooler or a higher-end CPU might help.

Bottleneck tools are completely ineffective—don’t waste time on them. Which games were you enjoying? What configurations were used? What temperatures were you experiencing? Did your companion also play at 1440p?

Bottleneck calculators tend to be slow and often inaccurate. Pay attention to the game settings—small changes can significantly affect performance. For GPUs, 2070Super and 3060ti perform similarly, with the 3060ti being about 10% faster. The CPU should also be improved. Monitor temperatures to avoid throttling, and ensure you're not running at 1080p while using 1440p resolution.

I haven’t looked at the temperatures yet. The driver updates are up to date. His operating system is Windows 10, mine is 11 (don’t know if that matters), there’s just one security update for Windows I’ll install immediately. Regarding BIOS updates – I’m not sure what you’re asking, could you clarify?

a bios update as in an update for the motherboards bios , did you check if your board has an update for it that was never applied , ideally one that may refer to stability or compatibility

They also verified the hardware performance and tested multiple games across different systems.

You can use system monitoring tools or performance testing software to assess hardware performance.

Compare closely to see identical results under the same conditions. Your and your friend’s FPS bottleneck tools often lack precision. Even if the GPU is fully utilized at 1440p, expect roughly a 10% improvement in frame rate.
