i plan to play a game (mainly strinova and wuwa) and my pc will freeze without sound. the audio stops completely, but the mic works fine when the screen goes black (caps lock doesn’t help). once it freezes, either audio and mic return or it cuts out again. i’m sure it’s not the GPU since i used it with a 12700 on a b660m and didn’t have this issue before. i switched to a 9600x on a MSI PRO B650-P WiFi ProSeries, but ordered a new motherboard thinking that was the cause. my friend who had past PC problems suggested it might be a CPU issue and advised me to either report it or take the machine to a shop (which we know won’t happen). i’m wondering if anyone knows what might be wrong. if it’s the CPU, i could return it before the end of the month and the motherboard won’t arrive either. i might just cancel it then. so, anyone else have any idea what could be causing this? update – it seems my GPU is being turned off in Windows, and i’ve already contacted the manufacturer about it. if anyone knows what might be happening, let me know and the new motherboard didn’t fix it. update #2 – first, yeston replied so hopefully this gets sorted. second, it looks like the problem might be related to streaming on Discord; yesterday i only did that briefly to show something, then stopped. that’s all I’ve learned so far. if you have any thoughts, please share.

Have you looked into the system temperatures? Is the computer equipped with RAM, and would you like to know its exact amount?

the cpu temperatures are a bit warmer than expected at the same power but might just be due to heat dissipation. the ram is using team group tforce at 6000mhz with cl 30. gpu temps are elevated around 71c, but the fan curve on my intake and exhaust helped stabilize things. in the game I play the most, temperatures stay at 60 or lower on the gpu and around 60 on the cpu.
