Hey there. I recently assembled a PC and encountered an unusual, loud, high-pitched sound. A video link was provided (https://streamable.com/ullni4). It seems the noise becomes noticeable when the system powers on, but disappears when turned off. The sound isn’t consistent with coil whine, as I can distinguish it from the quieter hum during high FPS gaming. I’m unsure what’s causing it or how to resolve the issue. Have others faced similar problems? Any insights or fixes would be appreciated.

Here are the PC specifications you shared (PSU remains unchanged):
- Graphics Card: Asus Strix 4080 - OC Edition
- Motherboard: Asus Strix X670E-F Gaming
- RAM: DDR5 Kingston Fury 36, 6000 MHz
- CPU: R9 7950X3D
- Cooler: Arctic Liquid Freezer II, 280 mm A-RGB
- Case: Fractal design
- PSU: Corsair 850W Gold (RM850X, 2018)

You shared the video with your father and he didn’t respond, but your friend noticed a high-pitched sound similar to a cricket. You checked the motherboard and think it might be the source, so you’re unsure if you can return it for repair.

I don’t understand why, but I’m having trouble with the noise. I’ll attempt to clean all the PSU connectors and other parts. I’ll update once it’s done.
