During my breaks, I left my desktop at home. In short, I’m overwhelmed by pop-ups and ad extensions in Google Chrome. I need advice and suggestions. Which free antivirus would be best? How can I eliminate those random redirects claiming a virus? Is there a tool to remove all this? I’ve tried turning off extensions in Chrome but they keep restarting. Sometimes the issue is so severe I can’t even access the internet. I have to close Chrome processes or risk losing access to my computer.

Combining Avast with MalwareBytes typically performs well in most cases.

Yes, you're suggesting I perform both tasks concurrently.

1 - add malwarebytes
2 - use unistall for chrome
3 - clear all items from the Windows program list
4 - reinstall chrome should work...

MalwareBlaster isn't a traditional antivirus... it functions as anti-malware software.

I’d choose Avast Free for its reliable protection at no cost.

Malwarebytes works well for manual scans of your PC to detect malware. Avast functions as a live virus detector. @ Umzipumzi

Save the file and execute AdwCleaner Downloader, then launch HitmanPro 3 Scan using Malwarebytes to reboot your PC. This process targets adware removal.
