Recently added an A and 7800x3d with DDR5 RAM and a PRO X670-P Wi-Fi motherboard, but it experiences crashes, freezes, blue screens, and gradually shuts down. It operates stably during long gaming sessions if that matters. The system powers off correctly even when doing this on its own, suggesting a power supply problem isn’t the cause. It’s using a 1000 watt PSU, and I recently reinstalled Windows 11 on a new drive with no drivers to blame. My BIOS is up-to-date. I’m running out of hope and need guidance—any advice would be welcome. I also ran a memtest and RAM tests showed no issues.

If RAM isn't the issue, the GPU could be the cause—do you own one?

Check the event viewer to see the errors it recorded during gameplay. This should provide details about what caused the shutdown. At the moment, we’re relying on assumptions since we don’t have specifics like RAM, speed, GPU information, or any relevant logs. Any additional reports from the viewer could help pinpoint the problem more accurately.

The PSU problems are unusual, so I haven't dismissed them completely. Could you share more about your setup? How many RAM modules are you using? AM5 configuration is still a bit uncertain with four sticks. Which graphics card are you running? Have you experimented removing the GPU to see if performance improves?
