Constructed in September 2020. Features a Ryzen 5 3600, GTX 1660S, and two 8GB RAM modules on an MSI B450 Tomahawk. The power supply uses a 650W bronze cert cooler master. Operating system is Windows 11 Super. Recently, my PC has experienced crashes during gaming sessions—sometimes the game quits, other times the system restarts. I’ve installed the newest drivers, but performance remains stable until the game ends abruptly. I recently changed the BIOS to UEFI for secure boot support; that shouldn’t be causing issues. I’m considering a power supply fault as a possible cause. Any advice would be appreciated.

Your temperatures are being monitored with tools such as HWinfo. It seems there could be an issue with your cooling system. Could you tell me what kind of cooling you're using—air, AIO, custom loop, etc.?

Switching to UEFI/Secure Boot might be the solution. I'm thinking about a fresh install of Windows. I'm not an expert, so maybe verify everything is connected properly first. Perhaps reinstall the game and update Windows. Running a memory test afterward could help.

Review the temperatures during gameplay with MSI Afterburner and RTSS overlay. Focus closely on the readings when the system is about to crash or restart. If the temperatures are normal, perform stress tests on CPU and GPU individually. Should the stress tests fail, consider checking power cables or switching your power supply to see if it's faulty. If everything remains stable so far, the issue might be software-related or due to failing/stressed storage (please specify your storage type). For software problems, run "sfc /scannow" in an elevated command prompt and update Windows. Recently, I faced storage failures where the drive would shut down even when idle, leading to crashes. It's unlikely your PC crashes only inside the game. Running chkdsk and inspecting bad sectors won't confirm this, as corruption might have started from the first crash. Your game files could be damaged; I suggest reinstalling the game or verifying its files to avoid future crashes. If you suspect storage issues, let me know how I can help further.
