Your computer is experiencing frequent crashes!
I own an Athlon 3000G with an MSI B450-M Pro VDH Max Mobo and an Antec 600W PSU. The system was performing well before. Recently, I added a used GTX 1060 3GB Amp Core edition GPU, but now I face problems such as the screen going black intermittently—sometimes to random colors too. Occasionally game music plays in the background, yet the game stops working and most programs freeze completely with no sound. It usually resumes after about 15 minutes. This happens so often that I’m confused because the GPU was in great shape. I cleaned it, reapplied thermal paste, and temperatures are normal. My local disk C has 30 GB remaining, which shouldn’t be an issue. The drivers are up to date; the GPU driver is 531.18, and I disabled the Vega 3 via Device Manager. Still, the issue persists. Please help!
I confirm the latest drivers are available, but the newest version for 1060 is 531.18, not the 3xx.xx format. Consider using DDU and installing the most recent updates from the provided link: https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en. It seems VRAM usage is extremely high, making it hard to determine if it will improve performance. Note: You can download DDU here: https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/dis...nload.html
Consider testing alternative cables if you can. I’m pretty sure the GPU is failing. =/
It really occurred to me once when I installed the RAM in the incorrect slots. Odd, but it did happen.
