I submitted my card to Asus for warranty service. The repair information is limited: Issue – Inspection Failure (component damaged). Solution attempted – reassembly, pin adjustment, cleaning. Replacement parts listed:
- GPU vendor test passed (DIAG)
- Windows test passed (AVT)
- Gameplay test passed with two engines for over 30 minutes each
- VGA card installed and verified in desktop case.

My PC has been running for about 1.5 weeks with the old GTX 970. No crashes occurred during that period. After reinstalling the RTX 3080, I experienced my first crash after watching a series for half an hour, followed by starting Train Valley 2 (a low-demand 3D puzzle game). The same blue screen and error code appeared: WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR. Any suggestions? If I return to ASUS, they might advise me to stop since they tested the card. I’m feeling really frustrated.

Alrighty a small Update Guys: After figuring and testing out more, i found out that the Cablemod Cables are the likely Reason for the Crashing. I figured out the biggest difference between the 970 and the 3080 was the Power draw. So i manipulated the Power Target in Afterburner while Running the OCCT Power Test. At about 70% the PC was crashing. Also touching the Cables of the GPU was resulting in an immediat Crash. Thats why i replaced the Cables with the Factory Cables from Seasonic. Now i made multiple Stress tests and everything is going fine. So all this shit happened just because of the PCIE Cables. The last thing i tought could brake in a PC.

They really happen during a WHEA crash. The complete diagnostic log reveals the exact cause. For most other crashes, the details aren’t crucial. I didn’t notice your message when it was first shared; based on what you shared, the problem seems linked to the NVMe drive. Power fluctuations or unstable voltage could trigger failures. I’d expect a different issue to appear first, like a Windows storage driver error. There’s been a recent bug in a Windows storage driver that leads to these crashes. With this flaw, an Xbox driver mistakenly treats your drive as a virtual disk and marks it as faulty. Run Command Prompt with admin privileges and execute "fltmc" to capture the output, which will show which storage drivers are active.

Sorry, the problematic drivers aren't listed. Hopefully the new power cable resolved the issue; otherwise, I'd check the SSD next. Windows can't distinguish between the SSD and the slot/motherboard, but a faulty SSD is much more likely.

EDIT: If you continue experiencing WHEA crashes, that's what I'm concerned about.
