I successfully removed the PC by desoldering the BIOS chips. I have good soldering abilities. There are helpful guides available; using proper Google searches makes finding new BIOS chips easier.

It makes sense to use an external drive for installing a fresh Windows copy, especially if you're willing to lose your current files. Clearing the partitions removes any encrypted data, allowing a clean setup later. What did you learn? We’re glad to know it’s working again!
