My system often displays a black screen during gameplay. It mostly happens in Minecraft, but also occurs in Star Wars: Battlefront 2 and occasionally in Rocket League. After switching to the GT 1030 graphics card, the issue appeared with both onboard graphics. I attempted to fix it by restarting and adjusting settings, but the blackout seems to happen at random frames. When I temporarily moved my mouse cursor away from the affected area, the screen cleared, only to return when I repositioned it.
This pattern suggests a potential CPU-related problem, though I’m not certain. I’ve tried reseating RAM, updating drivers, reinstalling Windows 10, cleaning the SSD, and adjusting GPU settings. Thermal performance and frame rates are normal.
I’m unsure what’s causing this, but it seems to be tied to rendering issues on specific frames. Since no one else has reported similar symptoms, I’m seeking advice from someone with technical expertise.
Open the event viewer and navigate to Windows Logs -> System. Check for any errors or critical events matching the black screen. Share your findings.
The situation arose when the screen went completely black, specifically at fullscreen mode. I observed this issue while attempting to reproduce it. A video showing the moment and its appearance would be helpful. The problem occurs across all Minecraft versions, not just 1.20. If you require further details, I can try recreating it in other versions or games, though Minecraft is the most straightforward option.

It's been a while since I last had this blackout in Minecraft, but I've recreated it again. I'm not sure if a Windows system issue is causing it. I've seen similar problems in other games like Battlefront 2, Rocket League, and Roblox. For each of those, I looked into the events and found nothing wrong. I think it might be related to the CPU, but I don't know what or why.
