I'm dealing with a Dell laptop that had DDR3 RAM installed a year ago. It suddenly stopped working today. After removing both RAM sticks, one was still working while the other wasn't. I heard beeps when trying to power on with an 8GB RAM module. I'm unsure why it failed and want to understand what might have caused this. Running MemTest86 showed only a single RAM stick, but that doesn't match what I did. I installed a Python program, but I'm worried it could have damaged the RAM. I don't want to just restart it without knowing the cause. I'd appreciate any advice to prevent this in the future. Thank you!

The RAM is no longer functioning because of its age. Such situations often go unnoticed, making it seem like bad luck.
