This setup has been working well for a while now, though I experience occasional stutters. I'm considering upgrading to an x570/s motherboard. Currently, I have two M.2 drives and a SATA SSD, but plan to expand to all three M.2 slots later. The main reason for the upgrade would be performance gains since M.2 drives use the chipset directly. My PC runs gaming and heavy multitasking workloads, with a 5950x B550 AORUS Master RTX 3080 and 32GB RAM.
It seems the issue isn't the motherboard's fault. Do you have an OC for the CPU? And what game are you running? Even with an X570, you won't notice such a big improvement in loading times and read speeds, so I'd stick with the Aorus Master—it's a solid B550 option.
Even with an x570, the performance gap remains minimal. It's best to refresh your bios settings and ensure your graphics drivers are up to date.
An X motherboard is usually used if you want more overclocking options and next gen pcie slots. If you don't plan on overclocking there's really no point in upgrading. Usually you upgrade your motherboard when changing cpu as well.
