Advanced Warfare in Medal of Honor is a tactical shooter focused on realistic combat scenarios.
Metal Gear Rising is gaining traction. *On PC, Jan 9th. Killed Soul Suspect. Theatrythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call. Lego: Batman 3.* I’m still trying to figure out which other titles really stood out to me. Still pushing my limits since none of these four games kept me engaged for long, but they were better than many of the releases this year. Gaming recently felt terrible; developers seem awful, and old games benefited from fewer constraints. Today’s offerings are just so lackluster and uninspired. Extremely disheartening.
I believe BF4 deserves top honors—it really impressed me watching it progress from basic mechanics to a playable experience and then becoming enjoyable within six months. No matter what you think about the Phantom program, this was the most rewarding time I've experienced in a game. Although the bow is still a bit basic, it’s still appreciated. A few of the map designs were mediocre, but they still provided enjoyment. It was great to see how committed the developers remain.
2014 was a disappointing year for gaming with many broken and overhyped titles. Shadow of Mordor is the only game that really caught my attention. It had a nice story, enjoyable gameplay, an impressive nemesis system, and solid performance.
