Consider checking the driver update to ensure it doesn’t unintentionally turn off the sound device linked to your monitor. Navigate to settings, then devices, and select manage sound devices to verify your monitor isn’t marked as disabled. On my system, some monitors are listed as disabled, which prevents them from appearing or transmitting audio via HDMI/DP.
