During the UEFI setup, adjusting the RAM speeds and saving them, yet the PC still runs at stock rates instead of the advertised overclock speeds. CPU-Z shows 1064Mhz (2133Mhz) for the base clock, but when trying to set 3200Mhz, it doesn’t work. I’ve confirmed the settings were saved after exiting UEFI, so there must be another issue.
You own an X570 Aorus Elite motherboard from Gigabyte paired with an AMD Ryzen 2700X chipset.
Do you know your exact RAM capacity? The Ryzen 2xxx lineup doesn’t typically feature top-tier memory controllers, so a 3200 might not fit. A 2933 could be the upper limit.
It's okay to be at 2700Mhz; the system can handle it. I'm curious though—why would you think it wouldn't run smoothly at 3200Mhz? The PC should still function, but performance might change.
