Hello everyone. I own an AMD 3800X processor and... it seems unusual. Let me share my complete configuration: motherboard is Asrock X570 Phantom gaming, RAM is Corsair VENGEANCE® RGB PRO 16 GO (2 x 8 GO) DDR4 at 600 MHz, and the system runs Windows 10 on a Samsung 860EVO SSD. Now, here are some peculiar details. First, my Cinebench scores consistently range from 4200 to 4600, whereas most online sources reported around 5000 points. Then, during an OCCT MDS test with the CPU at full load, I monitored temperatures via CPUID HWMonitor and HWiNFO64. The results showed the CPU never exceeded 43°C (109°C), which is lower than expected, the VCore temperature appeared normal, and power consumption stayed under 35.25W despite high utilization. A few days later, another test—Timespy—gave a score of 9476 points, which seems fine. All these observations are quite odd. Any thoughts? By the way, I switched my setup and didn’t reinstall Windows 10... Could this be the issue? Previously, I used an Intel 3770K processor. Note: Windows 10 is up to date, BIOS defaults except for the XMP profile that was installed. The AMD chipset drivers were set with the AMD Radeon software, which is current.

The Ryzen balanced power plan might not be listed in Windows Power Settings, even if it seems to work properly.

Everyone, good to hear the Ryzen balanced power plan is ready. I’m currently using High perf mode. To verify if the drivers are properly installed, you can check the system settings or run a diagnostic tool. Regarding the MP600 NVMe SSD, it seems unrelated to your Windows reinstall—perhaps you meant something else? If you’re unsure about the Gigabyte product, let me know and I’ll clarify further!

Only Gigabytes-supported drivers are allowed on this site. It’s advised to reinstall Windows offline and turn off automatic driver updates via Windows before connecting to the internet.

OK. So, I am going to try to install windows (if I am not too lazy) on an external USB drive as I wait for my new SSD to show up. edit : BTW, I updated my BIOS, same issue.

I believe I discovered the problem. Part of it: the silly Asrock Gaming soft... I removed it: Boom => 4850pt on Cinebench, Vcore climbs to 1.5V. It feels better but still a bit low (meaning the Cinebench score...)

I put Ryzen Master in, adjusted everything to the standard settings, and... it now matches exactly what I wanted!

It's interesting how sensitive cinebench scoring can be when background processes like updates or extra software are active. Your results were close to what you expected, similar to the 3950x sometimes limiting it to half the CPU power because of a power plan issue. Changing to Ryzen High Performance and then switching back to Ryzen Balanced made all 16 cores run at full capacity.

In my situation, all 16 threads ran at full capacity, yet the outcome remained poor. I deleted the Asrock soft and things improved. Then I added Ryzen Master and... 5000 points!
