Check if XMP/XAMP is enabled on the motherboard. The overclocking profile you referred to is either for CPU or RAM OC.

It's a RAM overclock. I've set it to the XMP profile, but whenever I attempt adjustments it reverts to automatic settings.

They're likely in slots A2B2. Verify that. A1B1 won't fit with a 3200Mhz chip. Confirm it starts in A2B2 first.
