Your 3090 seems to be experiencing a DX12 issue.
The game tends to fail when those visual cues show up, especially in DX12. It seems the crashes might be linked to ray tracing features. Since ray tracing isn't supported in DX11, those effects could trigger instability. You might want to test a DX12 version and temporarily turn off ray tracing to see if the issue persists.
I'm trying to resolve those TPM-WMI problems. I attempted to open "RV there yet," but it first loads the logo then crashes. Fortnite launches so I can adjust settings, modify my skin, and explore the menu, but once I start a match it loads normally after a few seconds before crashing again. Switching Fortnite to DX11 fixed all issues—I played two matches without any problems. Opening Fortnite on DX12 and launching "RV there yet" displayed more of those annoying events as before.
Remove all but one RAM module and check for issues. Change their positions to test different configurations.
Fortnite using DX12 with RT disabled, DLSS off and FXAA anti-aliasing appears to function smoothly. I also tried Arc Riders on DX11, adjusted a few settings and everything looked fine with the epic options. However, once I enabled anti-aliasing, DLSS reached 100% and the game crashed immediately, preventing it from launching again. I'm testing different settings, hoping some anti-aliasing will work better otherwise it looks terrible.
Unfortunately it didn’t go through. Likely on Monday I’ll visit my nearby tech shop to check it with another machine. I’ll try installing the GPU in my brother’s PC just in case, but I’ll stick with his PSU since he only has an X2 8-pin connector. My friends’ PCs are the same.
It seems the AA might be causing the issue, possibly through an overlay or similar effect. Checking if any additional post-processing settings are active could help.
I'm concerned about the heat from the hotspot and memory. Do you have sufficient airflow around that GPU? Reducing voltage would help lower the temperature, though it requires repasting and repadding. Edited November 21, 2025 by leclod
I turned off all overlays, AA settings, and post-processing effects, yet the game still crashes. Cyberpunk and RV don’t even display the loading screen. I’m reviewing every crashdump and log with IA searching for any hint—some suggest a faulty VRAM, others point to a corrupted shader ID. I managed to achieve 3DMark scores on the DS12 using 87% PWR, -100 MHz clock, and memory limits, but the game still won’t launch. I’m losing hope on this card… I’m considering many possibilities because OCCT isn’t showing any errors, and a local AI (Qwen with ComfyUI) is working fine. I keep trying different approaches but have no new ideas.
