These votes suggest a possible 660 could boost CS and GM to about 50 FPS at 1080p, though results will vary: the experimental/current build won’t hit 30 FPS with everything fully active. Upgrading render quality and enabling water reflections or grass on false surfaces can push performance past 30 FPS, but you’ll need a capable GPU and at least 4GB RAM to avoid issues.

I seldom play Rust just to find out, but I’m planning to upgrade soon. With 8GB RAM and better CPU+GPU later, this is the beginning of my setup—plenty of future improvements. I wonder if it’ll even reach around 50 FPS. My friend’s 2009 laptop has integrated graphics with an I3 and hits about 70 FPS on medium settings.

I manage to hit over 60fps effortlessly, yet I still play Rust at low settings. I’m not sure why but it feels more natural. On Ultra at 1080p, consider the timing of fights and nades—always check the drop rates because you can easily reach 60fps then plummet to around 10 in critical moments. You’ll be amazed by how shadows and other factors affect FPS.

Sounds like you're focusing on textures and weapons instead of shadows on Max.
