I received no startup and discovered I must upgrade the BIOS. I saved the newest bios and transferred the files to a FAT32 USB stick, connecting it via the lowest USB port on the motherboard. Should I take the CPU out of the board to install the BIOS update, or is the issue requiring a different BIOS version first?

I also installed a two-year-old major revision of the BIOS onto a flash drive, yet the issue persists: no POST, only a 00 code on the motherboard, indicating CPU failure.
