It's unclear if such offers are typical, but upgrading your CPU and selling an old one is reasonable. A price of $125 CAD for a 6500 seems achievable depending on condition and market. You're not being unrealistic—just checking the value.

Does it imply you're not swapping or enhancing the mainboard? If so, there could be some attractive offers available.

I’m switching to a 9600k because I saw one for 200 CAD. I’m thinking about getting an ASRock 390M board since it’s the most affordable option I’ve found.

I’m willing to consider a lower price for a short sale, but I’d rather keep the item private. I’ve noticed similar listings on eBay with a $125 plus shipping fee, so I was hoping to get it locally to avoid delays and extra costs. If no one shows interest, I might have to accept around $80.

Consider reducing the volume slightly for extra caution.
