You'll need to perform a complete system restore. Attempting to boot it will likely fail or result in very slow performance, which is definitely a concern.

Win10 could work, but switching between platforms is quite a jump, so I’d go with a complete reinstall.

Windows 10 works well now. I switched from i3 to 8350 and after updating, everything runs smoothly.

Thanks for confirmation. I've heard that it has better way to deal with conflicting drivers than previous version. But I haven't seen any real confirmation before this.

I worked with that setup before, starting from an AMD 8350 - I7 4790k and it functioned fine. However, after two weeks I reconfigured everything because things didn’t seem quite right. Personally, I think it might be due to the specific conditions or a bit of luck involved. Linus mentioned in one of his videos that he changes hardware on test benches and sometimes programs behave erratically.
