Hello everyone, I’d love to hear your thoughts on setting up a Teamspeak server for my streaming sessions. I’m planning rooms for chat and for the players during the fights—though I know it might seem a bit silly. Please share your ideas or let me know if you think I should skip this. Thanks!
You might want to avoid Teamspeak because it can affect your connection quality. The best option depends on your upload and download capabilities. If streaming is involved, a dedicated server could be more reliable. Setting one up is simple and many guides are available online.
I’m comfortable getting things ready. My connection is also in good shape. I have a pessimistic collaborator who claims it’s pointless and might draw unwanted attention. I believe it could serve as a useful feature for the channel when conversations become intense, especially for voice chats. Of course, its use would be limited.
You'd need to control how it's managed. It could be arranged so you don't receive alerts, pings, or similar while streaming and create separate channels if you intend to share details with the TS. If you don't expect people from your stream to join that TS, you can lock it with a password, removing the risk of trolls.
