The choice really varies by title. If I played the original console version, I used a controller. Without one, I opted for KB+M, since I didn’t notice any skill differences in games like Battlefield or COD.

I strongly support using KB+M in competitive shooters like CSGO. Right now I’m at the top, and I’m confident I could easily win Silver with a controller—probably laughing at anyone who thinks otherwise!

It's similar for CS:GO, but you should also consider how Valve stopped using controllers in that title. I'm using KB+M and currently at MG1.

Racing seems a straightforward choice, but I think using KB+M isn't the best approach. The poll options are limited, and I'd prefer more advanced features like separate answers for controllers or KB+M alongside regular game choices. Only possible with the tools available.

I work with a 360 controller but require a mouse or keyboard for editing. I use a trackball at my couch, but perhaps a Steam controller could be the solution.

RL didn't play it before, but it's a racing game. I think a mouse and keyboard might give you an edge, especially for quick camera shifts if the mouse is handling that.
