I switch between the gamepad on the large screen for various third-person titles like The Witcher 3, GTA V, Assassins Creed, Aragami, Hitman, Splinter Cell... and use the keyboard and mouse on the monitor for first-person games such as Metro 2033, CS:GO, Call of Duty, Amnesia, Bioshock, etc.

I utilize it for racing and platforming titles. It also works in emulation. This implies I might employ it in GTA V occasionally (if available on PC). The games I pair it with include Sonic and Sega All Stars Racing, Sonic Generations, and Battleblock theater.

I use it in any non-first-person titles. Actually, I enjoy many single-player first-person experiences using one. I’m quite skilled with a controller—it feels natural, not restrictive, and it’s perfect for relaxing on my couch. I found DOOM more enjoyable with a controller than without. Online, FPS games usually require a controller if I want to play smoothly. I’ve beaten kb/m players using a controller, but it’s much more satisfying with one. I still have a controller set aside for battlefield vehicles. I’m solid with kb/m, though only slightly above average. I don’t always win every match. I love playing with a controller. Side note: Because I’m comfortable with controllers, I often play BF on the console to challenge others and boost my confidence.

That brings back a memory, I’d like to give it a shot with my Steam controller.
