Minor indentations appeared on the laptop charging cord. The device and charger have been used for three years, with noticeable marks appearing about a year ago. The product is no longer under warranty. Should I be concerned? Possible reasons for these bumps include wear and tear, environmental factors, or manufacturing defects. Check the reference image for more details.

I believe the bumps resulted from overheating. Consider purchasing a new laptop adapter. It's affordable.

You can delay purchasing it for a month or two to accumulate funds for the charger.

They aren't due to overheating; they're simply crushed. Likely trapped beneath something heavy. It shouldn't lead to major issues, but if the internal wires are damaged it could result in malfunctions over time because movement might prevent proper contact.

HP's power cords are typically coaxial, but when pinched, some outer copper can start to fray and bunch up. Eventually, you might have to replace the entire cord, so just get a new charger.

It functions properly right now. I once kept it in my bag at the bottom for school. There’s no indication it’s a problem—just normal operation.

Everything is working well. Replace it if necessary, but I don’t expect any issues soon.
