I mean the safe voltage level you're referring to—how much current can be safely used before it harms the battery and other cells. It can affect the overall health of the device. Regarding the charging port, if it feels loose or shifting, it might need more secure fastening. For the ribbon cables, if they’re hard to clamp, securing them properly with tape or a small piece of paper should help prevent damage.

lithium batteries need to stay within a voltage range of about 2.8 to 4.2 volts per cell under certain conditions. If a laptop is left without power for an extended period, it may experience minor leakage currents that gradually reduce the battery’s performance, potentially causing damage over time. Charging it fully or applying heavy loads afterward could increase the risk of overheating and fire hazards.

Have you considered the laptop's ribbon cable issue? You're planning to store it and relocate it, so make sure it's secure.

There’s typically a sequence of steps and some skill required, as each laptop is built differently. But it was crafted by people, so your hands should be able to handle it just like anyone else's.

Haha, please don't flag mine unless you're certain. It doesn't assist with future references to these issues. (That's why we mark them as solved—helps others find the answer quickly and stops unnecessary replies.) It seems like your laptop's charging port might be faulty, assuming the power supply is intact.

It seems you noticed something unusual—the hard drive isn’t present, which is disappointing, but at least I’ve learned how to power on the laptop and set up W11 with a USB stick.

It seems the main issue is the laptop charging port shifting during use. This likely indicates the plastic tabs that secure the DC input have broken. If only those parts are damaged, you can gently reattach them using a non-conductive adhesive such as JBWELD. Be careful not to introduce epoxy inside the port or let it seep into the device. Follow the instructions carefully and allow proper curing time. On the ribbon cables, a flat-head screwdriver works well for flipping the connector, applying even pressure across the entire bar. Having another person help apply gentle inward pressure on the cable while you move the locking lever can prevent partial sliding and ensure it stays secure. Always confirm there’s no power present, as regular tools could damage components if electricity is active.

Sorry for the delayed response; I’m fine with it and actually agree. As discussed, it’s important to highlight the correct answer so others can understand it better. My eyes are trustworthy after all! Great relief! It’s a shame the storage is missing, but on the positive side, you’ll have more reasons to upgrade your laptop. Cheers!
