I have several options in mind, mainly Gigabyte models like GA-AB350M-DS3H and GIGABYTE B450M DS3H. I’m leaning toward AsRock but they’re pricier locally. The main difference between the B350 and B450 is roughly $15, which fits my budget. I plan to boost my Ryzen 5 2600 and run with four 3200MHz RAM sticks. I’ll also use an M.2 SSD.
for just gaming the B350 fit with a 2600 surely fine but it reaches its maximum already with the 65W tdp cpu and the 3200mhz ram you can overclock and have fast ram, but to use the motherboard constantly on maximum of is abilitys that will cost a part his lifespan for sure the x370 is praticly the same just with sli support the b450 is slighty better in everything than the b350
It's wise to invest a little more for a higher-quality board. My previous setup used the same Gigabyte board with my 2600X, which failed after just a few months. The VRM on these budget boards tends to be of poor quality, making them unsuitable for overclocking a Ryzen 5. Consider upgrading to an MSI Tomahawk or Mortar—they offered the best value at the time.
