searching for gigabyte online reveals they don’t support flashing a BIOS that isn’t compatible with your motherboard. If it doesn’t fit, newer boards after 1012 include a dual BIOS chip—just obtain the official one from Gigabyte’s website. In the worst case, you might not be able to update at all.
