I achieve over 400fps with my 3080ti and experience FPS drops in games, especially at low settings. I’m trying to boost RAM from 16GB at 3000MHz to 32GB at 4200MHz, but my i7-9700k is still struggling to maintain 240fps. The issue might be related to the bottleneck in memory speed or system configuration.

If you possess that card, attempt to use tools such as MSI Afterburner or other monitoring software while gaming. When the load is at 100% or lower and temperatures remain acceptable, upgrading RAM offers minimal benefit, though adding more memory capacity can improve performance. The CPU status may already be adequate, which can be verified through monitoring.

No processor ensures consistent over 240fps all the time. Checking GN's 12900K review shows even it struggles slightly below that speed in CSGO at 1080p, making the game relatively smooth.

You need a detailed overview of your system specs before claiming a bottleneck exists. Consider switching to a newer platform such as 12th gen Intel. RAM speed should ideally reach around 3600mhz, but be cautious—expecting 240hz all the time is unlikely. As @YoungBlade noted, that pace is quite ambitious. If you're serious, perhaps try a simpler game like Minesweeper. Welcome to the forum.
