Recently I purchased a new motherboard, and I’m planning to get a new CPU. Will it work fine, or will I have to reinstall Windows again? My old PC was from the 7th generation, while the new one will be the 8th generation.

It seems you're asking about updating or reactivating your Windows installation. You might not need to reinstall the OS, but you'll likely have to reactivate it.

Most hardware updates should need reactivation and won’t cause problems.

With Windows 10, you can simply install it using the existing setup. It usually works well even after changing hardware. This is different from Windows 7, which often encounters problems in such situations.

If you've linked the license to a Microsoft Live account, you can easily move it whenever needed. https://appuals.com/how-to-transfer-your...-computer/ This approach works for method 2.

Windows may prompt you to reinstall after modifying the mainboard since the OEM license code is stored in the BIOS/UEFI firmware.
