For gaming, options around 1080p with a 5090 are comparable, making the differences negligible. Zen 5 offers no gaming advantage over Zen 4 in performance or power use. The Ryzen 5 choices are similar in value—opt for the lowest cost if it fits your needs. If you choose the 7600X, enable Eco Mode in BIOS when using EXPO to reduce power draw, and it will now run at 65W. With a 5060, the gap between models like R5 7500F and R7 9700X becomes almost invisible.
My budget comes in roughly 1500 to 1600 USD after conversion. The setup plan includes a main LAN configuration, basic photo and light video editing, and support for university tasks. We can use laptops or a desktop with peripherals if needed. Regarding the 64GB RAM, I’m using an AI subtitle generator that stores its model in RAM when the GPU can't handle it. With a 20GB model, I feel 12GB is insufficient, especially with Adobe demanding much memory. That’s why I’m opting for 64GB. I’d prefer CL30 RAM and expect around 130 USD for a 500W unit, plus about 200 USD for 600W. I’ve also added roughly 4TB of secondary M.2 storage for future use, possibly as a NAS or DAS solution. My main focus is assembling a balanced SFF PC now, not strictly limited by budget. I’m aware of the GPU constraints and want to avoid underutilizing my CPU.

For gaming, the GPU or CPU/RAM is typically the main constraint, and being limited on one part doesn't indicate a problem. A "bottleneck" means the component that restricts performance right now. Pairing a high-end CPU with a less capable GPU is generally preferable to the reverse, because GPU issues can often be managed through lower settings, scaling, or resolution adjustments, whereas CPU constraints usually require a full upgrade.
