Hello, welcome to the community! I’m just starting out with the Linux tech tips forums and here to share my situation: I really want to play Fallout 4, but my PC can handle it. My setup includes a Q6600 GTX 260 with 6GB DDR2 RAM. The official minimum specs aren’t affordable for me, so I’m looking for a budget-friendly upgrade path. I have around 200 euros (up to 250) and my friend offered me a GTX 560ti for 30 euros—would that be a good deal? Also, I’m wondering if there’s an inexpensive CPU compatible with an LGA 775 socket that could work well. Linus demonstrated building an 8-core system under 150 euros, but I’m not sure if my current knowledge is enough to do it myself.

550ti is the lowest required spec. You won't be able to launch it. (Also needs at least 8GB of RAM) Source: http://www.gamespot.com/articles/fallout...0-6431267/

Consider this setup: Q6600 processor, 6GB RAM, and a 560MB hard drive for playing Fallout 4.

Your 580 is struggling to move. It won't be able to handle running for 200 euros.

He has a sandy bridge i5 and a gtx460 that works fine even on low settings. You might want to look for a used 290 on eBay.

I noticed the video but wasn't sure if it was real or not. Can you give me more details?

That’s beyond my budget already. If I need to upgrade my RAM or CPU, I simply can’t afford it at the moment.

Someone might create a fake video to spread misinformation, entertain others, or test surveillance systems. It can also be used for personal gain or to provoke reactions.

I won’t be using it in full HD since my screen quality isn’t ideal. What kind of CPU do you have?

This looks like a valid concern, though it might not align with the standard baseline expectations.
