Hey everyone, I recently upgraded my system by adding a new ADATA XPG GAMIX D30 8GB DDR4 RAM with 3200MHz memory to replace my older 2400MHz units. After the installation, I noticed something strange—my motherboard, an MSI A320 PRO VD/S, shows a persistent boot light without any display. The light changes briefly through CPU LEDs, then switches to DRAM, VGA, and finally stays stuck during startup. Additionally, my old RAM also failed to boot properly. I've tried several troubleshooting steps: installing one stick at a time, checking the CMOS battery, verifying all connections, testing with an HDD or SSD one at a time, and ensuring proper installation force. The issue persists even though I didn’t damage the RAM slots during the swap. It’s possible there’s a deeper hardware problem or a faulty motherboard component affecting the boot process.
The splash screen isn't visible, preventing access to the BIOS. A boot error is one of the rare issues that stops you from entering the BIOS.
It seems the system is likely running smoothly. Consider changing to the display output on your motherboard, as it might be using integrated graphics.
Sorry, your motherboard lacks an HDMI connection. It only features VGA and DVI ports, while your monitor is using the HDMI port on your GPU.
Shut down your device and take out the CMOS cell for about a minute. Put it back in and attempt to start the system once more.
