I chose to assemble a PC using the parts I found: Ryzen 5 1600 AF model, an M.2 A520 B450M-HDV R4 chipset, and a 320 MB NVMe SSD. I have the motherboard, power supply, and case ready. The main concern is compatibility—specifically, whether the CPU, RAM, and GPU will work together smoothly without needing a BIOS update. I noticed the motherboard doesn’t list support for the new AF model CPU and also doesn’t recognize 2666 MHz RAM from G.Skill. Please let me know if you need assistance with that issue.

For light tasks it makes sense to use a Ryzen 3. This setup won’t need a powerful board, and even if BIOS updates are needed, older Ryzen tools can still work.

I concur with Jurrunio. You may require a bios update; the AF chip uses a 12nm process and is closer to a 2600 than a 1600 at 14 nm.

If the board backs r5 2600, it must support this AF chip too.
