Hello, I have several questions about my setup. My ASROCK AB350M motherboard doesn’t work well with my Ryzen 7 2700 RGB Wraith cooler—it won’t let me change its color, and I’ve checked all the fan headers. I also use a G.SKILL AEGIS 8GB memory at 288 pins, which runs at 3000MHz. The board won’t allow me to reach that speed even with voltage adjustments in the XMP settings. I’m wondering if it’s time for a new motherboard, while trying to stay within budget. I’d appreciate any advice on how to improve performance, especially since running at 1300MHz with a Ryzen CPU isn’t ideal. Thanks!
Ensure the connection uses a cable with an LED header, matching your motherboard's specifications.
It might be a bad header or incorrect color settings, but as long as the fan curve functions and it runs, I'm satisfied. Sadly, the only option is to continue trying or stop.
Open Task Manager and look at the memory usage section. It typically shows the amount of RAM currently in use, the total available RAM, and the percentage allocated to running applications. For example, you might see something like "RAM: 8 GB used (25%)" or similar.
You have three RAM slots, probably all using single-channel. I’d remove the single-channel RAM and enable dual-channel for the other two to check if performance changes.
