I’m evaluating these three motherboards and their prices in my region: B650M Pro RS (560 zł), B650M-HDV/M.2 (500 zł), and A620M Pro RS (433 zł). The Black Friday was tough, but the B650M Pro RS stands out in price. Since I’ll be installing a high-end CPU (7600 or 7700), a 1TB SSD, and plenty of RAM, I don’t need all the bells and whistles. The A620M Pro RS seems sufficient, while the B650M Pro RS offers more flexibility for future upgrades. ASRock claims compatibility with any CPU, including the 170W 9950X and even the A620M-HDV/M.2. I’m not sure about reviews yet, but it looks like a solid deal. The A620 chipset might feel more stable compared to the B650, and I’m avoiding GPU plans for now—just a PC for programming. If I upgrade later, the 7600 or 7700 should work fine.

Your VRMs will degrade and prevent you from achieving a better CPU. The B series can reach r7 x3d without problems. A mismatch might be forcing you toward r5, which isn’t enough VRMs to avoid overheating. Someone reported temperatures above 80°C on an R5 7600x. Plus, the extensions will cause extreme VRM throttling during heavy workloads.

Thanks for the update, I purchased the B650M Pro RS and opted for 7600x at a reasonable cost.

It seems unlikely the A620 board would slow down a 7700 non-X or 7800X3D, since both CPUs operate below 100W under load. The 7700X or 9800X3D could be a bit more worrying as they approach 150W, but the lower-power models should handle it fine.

Several individuals noted that during a 7600 the voltage ratings exceed 80 degrees, and he would receive a 7700x if he purchases the A620.
