I recently needed to upgrade my PC because the Z270 motherboard failed. Now that it's running, I'm wondering how performance limitations might affect me. After work, I plan to use it for gaming sessions this weekend with titles like COD, MW, Titanfall2, and possibly F1 2020. My previous configuration included a 6700K, MSI Z270 Pro, Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro, Gigabyte RTX 2060, Corsair H115i, EVGA 750 GQ. The new setup is a 10700K with an MSI Z490 MPG Gaming Plus and three 1080p monitors. Previously, my CPU seemed to be the main constraint, especially during video editing, but I expect the GPU will now be the limiting factor. Will this change be noticeable?

For 1080p the 2060 remains a strong card, making it a solid choice even if it's the bottleneck. However, I'm not entirely confident about using three 1080p cards together. Still, I favor GPU limits over CPU limits because of possible frame rate issues.

You’ll be fully aware if you run Cyberpunk 2077 with crowd settings turned on. A medium or low setting works for a 6700 4c8t, but high crowds really strain performance, especially when your new CPU handles it much better—especially in drops and frame rates, with reduced variability now for a more stable gameplay. It depends on how demanding your other games are. Battlefield 5 and Cyberpunk should all run at 80-90%+ on a 4c8t CPU.

I haven't explored Cyberpunk yet... I'm still catching up. My current favorites are mostly COD MW, Titanfall2, F1 2020, Dirt2, World of Warships, and some older titles like DFBHD:TS. I occasionally play GTA V story mode or online RP, but not often.

Cyberpunk's flaws make it hard to see as a top example of its genre.

Since those who are using the product have better insights into its features, expectations, and experiences, compared to others, there’s a strong connection between crowds and CPU usage on 4C8T systems versus more powerful machines. This explains why similar advice varies so much depending on hardware.

someone asks why their computer gets taxed due to poor coding, while high-end graphics seem unaffected. The NPCs are on tracks that weren’t near the areas where they promoted themselves, which is why it didn’t happen there. But with you, it might be different.

Humans recognize patterns through repeated exposure. CBP isn't lacking in optimization; it simply requires substantial resources—sub8 cores and threads. Observe its strong performance across multiple cores and threads, yes there are some issues, but after extended use you can easily gather data. Engage with the game more on stronger hardware—it's evident it demands more than other titles, not just because of poor optimization. It's no longer a concern for most players. Similar to a 6700 to 10700 platform upgrade.

I see your perspective, but everyone has their own preferences. A game with issues will always feel less polished. I’m not saying the best games are bug-free, but they don’t need to be perfect. My take is that it’s not as smooth as something like Doom, where resolution doesn’t affect frame rate much.
