You’ve lost the screw for the M.2 slot, but the standoff is on the motherboard and isn’t in the box. The motherboard is MSI B450 Tomahawk Max, and the M.2 slot is already installed without a screw. You’ll need to find a replacement screw—check the original packaging, contact MSI support, or look for compatible replacements online. Let me know if you need help with that!
The M2 slot screw size is standardized at M2x3.5 (M2 refers to the thread size/pitch and 3.5 is the thread length in mm). My suggestions are: - visit a nearby PC shop, mention your need and check if they have spare screws - reach out to MSI in your area, perhaps they can send one - purchase generic laptop repair screws from Amazon - what I did before installing a second M2 slot, but without a screw, now I use small ones permanently
I reached out to Overclockers UK and they’re providing me with a free part, including complimentary shipping. Excellent support! Appreciate it.
