Your setup is compatible. You can use the existing cables as they are split, and you don’t need to buy another power supply unless you want extra capacity.

Also me. My RM850x works well. I assumed there were 3 or 4 cables included, but Corsair provides caps at the end of PCIe, EPS, and 24-pin connectors which really reduce noise. Even with just two cables and a daisy chain, it should function fine. It’s a solid power supply.

It wasn't the 2021 RMx model; it included three PCIE cables. The fan triangle grille slots appear to be shaped. Corsair updated the cable options for the 2021 version.

For a decent PSU (around RM 850W), cables should support all plugs under full load. Most budget or older units require separate cables for each connector. Affordable PSUs often ship low-quality cables that can't handle multiple full loads, while older models might have several 12V rails—distributing the load across them is ideal.

create a separate entry instead of just fixing the existing one. As mentioned before, two cables with a single daisy chain work. Three would be better, but two should suffice.

Established PSU makers avoid combining several connectors on a single cable unless the cable can handle the required load.

The datasheet indicates it should include six connectors, meaning three pig-tailed cords. Did you purchase this item used?
