I own several clips from my gaming sessions (mostly everything I capture) that I’ll use to highlight the chaos in this game, like the hit reg issues and obvious cheating (such as getting headshot from a character flicking with an RPG). There was also a brief glitch where a hacker caused a near-zero damage effect.
They keep playing it because it offers entertainment and a sense of challenge.
I have the same hate love hate relationship with Overwatch. There are other games to play to get that dopamine from though. Honestly, I've changed over to a lot of single player games or casual co op games. Nothing beats sitting back with a beer, farming in modded Stardew with the old lady just having a good time. No one getting angry at other people doing stupid things etc.
Titanfall 2 is my quick boost to handle tough days in Apex. In Titanfall I don’t need to plan every move, I just move, jump, wallrun, grab, stim, shoot, etc. I’m really bad at slower games, so in the same game I can jump from number one to being in the bottom three just because Titans demand strategy. Everyone has a video about Titanfall 2, but it stands out as the top of the movement shooter scene.
It's not just the low resolution textures that matter. For me, Tekken usually works well, including DOA4/5 and the online modes. Recently playing through Tekken 6 story mode again on RPCS3 was really enjoyable, especially the fight against Spoiler Alisa! The best game I’ve seen was Revolution, though it’s only available online. I hope someone creates custom servers like they used to. Tekken 7 isn’t great either—it feels too polished, slow, and the online experience is poor. In short, they don’t make it as they once did. Another recommendation: Fatal Frame 5 is a solid shooter, especially without weapons, and it’s the best in that genre.
Thousands spent in games here. The amount of times I go back to Baldur's Gate, Pokemon games, Neverwinter Nights, Old School Runescape etc isn't even funny anymore. Hell, I'm waiting on a 3ds XL to ship right now because DS emulation on the Switch is annoying. Now it'll feel more right. Last long plane ride I took my laptop, Switch, and regular DS. 24hours in airports and planes. Switch and laptop didn't come out of cases. Only the DS did. Edit: Unpopular opinion, Driv3r beat out any other game that was on the Playstation at the time.
It's accurate that I enjoy eliminating most of the lobbies early on, especially after being in prison. Now it's becoming harder—I can barely clear a squad by myself.
Well, then something isn't right. Have you considered you just aren't very good? It's not meant in a nasty way.
