I have smooth movement on kbm and solid aim, shooting most opponents effectively with a decent weapon. After replacing my mouse, I switched to a cheap Amazon model and now only have lag issues. On the controller it feels better, but movement remains poor. After a week I notice frequent lag spikes and unexpected kills. Early in the game I consistently take 12 or more kills, but now I’m only getting around 4. I suspect a shadow ban occurred since my usual performance dropped significantly.

I'm not sure if you're talking about a mouse issue or internet problems. Are you looking for help fixing this situation or are you concerned about your skill level?

I understand it was either whispered about or approaching that Warzone would begin lagging cheaters. It seems like they might not deal damage, or both. I couldn't locate the article—it was just from last week. I edited it; the update suggests this would only prevent cheaters from seeing or hearing other players. If you're not experiencing this, it might just be a bad week.

or the game could recognize your abilities and assigns you to a lane with others of comparable skill, which is a feature found in many titles such as Apex and Fortnite CSGO

I have solid internet speed, about 400 mbps. I used a mouse before, but now I rely on a controller instead. However, my character movements feel off.

It’s nice to be paired with people who seem more skilled or talented than you. I used to think I was pretty good at Overwatch back then, usually ending with a lot of wins and only a few losses—especially when playing with friends. But sometimes things would go the other way, and we’d start strong only to be completely overwhelmed until we got tired of playing.

It's confusing when results seem inconsistent, even if the skill is involved. The differences in bullet power and performance can affect outcomes significantly. Your Ttk is showing a much larger improvement than expected.

It feels odd playing with a controller. I used a DS4 and kept getting matched against other DS4 players, even though I just wanted to trash some Kb/m users. It seems the system thinks you're not good with a controller, which explains the unfair matchmaking. *That was definitely my case—I had no idea what I was doing lol*

It seems skill-based matchmaking is grouping you in lobbies with much stronger opponents than before. Many players resort to quick fixes, losing several games without any kills, just to find easier lobbies. It also benefits them by letting them play high-scoring 50+ kill matches aimed at younger audiences on their YouTube and streaming channels. I wonder if playing with a controller really limits you to just controller users, excluding mouse and keyboard players? If that’s the case, you’re also facing opponents who likely use advanced features like cronus. This means no recoil, full auto, or aim bots—so you might be easily targeted and defeated before you realize the direction. If this is SBMM, a few losses should bring you back to a lobby with more balanced competition.

That usually doesn't happen. I'm only in a single lobby when I first wake up between 8 and 10 in the morning. After a few matches (sometimes all go to losses), I end up in really tough lobbies.
