I purchased an older PC from a friend about a year ago with plans to upgrade it gradually. Here are the current specs along with more details: CPU: i3 6400 - i7 10700k GPU: 1050ti Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H110M-S2H RAM: 8Gb 2133MHz - 16Gb 3600Mhz Storage: 1TB HDD, 1TB SSD PSU: CX750M I checked what would fit without considering compatibility. After repeated restarts and no GPU, no RAM, or issues with the original CPU and fan placement, it seems the motherboard might be damaged. Regarding upgrades, ordering a M.2 SSD is problematic since this model doesn’t support M.2 slots. The WiFi adapter was also damaged and likely discarded a year ago. For future replacements, aim for a GPU that can last around five years to avoid repeated repairs.

It seems the connector size doesn't match the board's physical design.

Examine the top and bottom images of the CPU to check for any signs of damage from forcing it into the incorrect socket.

It moved smoothly despite the 1200 socket and 1151 current. A photo was shared. The CPU inside is an original i3 6400, while the one in my hand is the 10700K. I tried reinstalling the BIOS from the original but it still wouldn't load.

I just mentioned that earlier, and it came up right away. I didn’t push anything. However, when trying to update the BIOS, I reinserted the original CPU. Updated on October 17, 2020 by SansVarnic. Content removed.

You placed a 1200 pin chip into a 1151 socket intentionally? Sounds like a playful mistake.

The H110 chipset only works with CPUs up to 7700K https://www.cpu-upgrade.com/mb-Intel_(ch.../H110.html The connections on the 10 series processors are distinct. It’s unlikely you’ll encounter issues unless power pads are misplaced, causing a short between board and CPU. You’re in good hands here.

The CPU appears bent, could it be related to the camera?

It seems like you were attempting to capture images while your daughter was trying to move past you.
